Magnesium ionic bond. Reinvented concrete repair.

ZERITHON is built on a proprietary magnesium-based chemistry, not Portland cement. The result is a repair material that fuses with the host substrate, cures in minutes, and outperforms specialty patch materials at a fraction of the installed cost.

The Technology Story

A repair that becomes the slab.

ZERITHON is not a patch. It is a magnesium-based chemistry that fuses with the host concrete at the molecular level — turning two materials into one continuous, monolithic structure.

Fueling at the pumps. Repairing at the pad.

One contractor. One pass. Zero pumps closed. Watch a live gas station stay in service while a spalled concrete pad is scarified, bonded with a magnesium ionic scratch coat, and finished at a 0.25-inch trowel layer of ZERITHON — ready for traffic in 60 minutes.

Magnesium ionic bond

ZERITHON is not Portland. Its magnesium chemistry forms an ionic bond with the host slab — a chemical fusion, not a mechanical key. There is no interface plane for a cold joint to form on.

Zero downtime

Because there is no demolition and no re-pour, the crew works around traffic. A gas station, loading dock, or fuel apron stays open through the entire repair.

60-minute return to service

Full return to service in one hour after the final trowel pass. Cars, forklifts, and fuel trucks resume driving on the finished pad — no barricades, no callbacks.

Stamp & Color-Match

A medium-gray canvas that can become anything.

ZERITHON's medium-gray base accepts integral tints and stamped textures before it reaches 60-minute return-to-service. Match a historic streetscape, extend a slate plaza, or leave it structural. One overlay, unlimited finishes.

Field Note

Integral tints are added at the mixer — no surface stains, no fade. Stamps are pressed within the working window and locked by the 60-minute cure. The finished surface is UV-stable, salt-resistant, and rated for vehicular traffic.

01 / 06

Magnesium ionic bond

Forms a chemical bond stronger than the host concrete — no primer or bonding agent required.

02 / 06

Zero shrinkage

Independent ASTM 666-92 / C672-92 freeze-thaw tests show no change, no scaling, no debonding.

03 / 06

Non-critical mix ratio

Field-tolerant chemistry. Crews can pour fast without sacrificing performance.

04 / 06

Tunable cure window

Hi-Temp Retarder slows in heat; Low-Temp Accelerator speeds in cold. One product, every climate.

05 / 06

Chemical resistance

Resists oil, gasoline, salt, UV radiation and water. Built for fuel docks, salt belts and industrial floors.

06 / 06

Flame spread 0

ORTECH Two-Foot Tunnel: sample did not ignite. Non-flammable, safe for occupied facilities.

Applications

If it's concrete, ZERITHON can repair it.

From sub-zero northern bridge decks to fuel-soaked southern truck pads, ZERITHON is specified by engineers who can't afford a callback.

  • Highway & bridge deck repair
  • Airport runways & taxiways
  • Parking structures & ramps
  • Industrial floors & loading docks
  • Stairs & balcony edges
  • Manhole & curb reconstruction
  • Thin overlays & tintable resurfacing
  • Below-grade & wet environments
